A facility-level sustainability framework and Standard Operating Procedure for film and TV studios — climate, circularity, nature, people, management and data — built around the real KPI framework of the BAFTA albert Studio Sustainability Standard, Round 4 (2027/2028 cycle).
A studio's physical infrastructure — sound stages, lighting circuits, generators, water systems, waste contracts, green space, and workforce policies — creates a sustainability performance that exists independently of any single production shooting there. Climactix's Studio Sustainability Certification assesses that facility-level performance, so studio landlords and operators can measure, evidence and improve it directly.
For studio landlords, sound stage operators and permanent production facilities. Assesses the site itself — energy generation, water, waste infrastructure, nature, workforce wellbeing and management systems — independent of any one production.
For individual productions — features, OTT series, commercials, documentaries. Logs activity data day-by-day across a specific shoot and converts it into a Climactix Production Sustainability Score.
Explore Production Certification →Every KPI below is drawn from the published BAFTA albert Studio Sustainability Standard Round 4 question set. Climactix documents it as a Standard Operating Procedure — an owner, a procedure, a frequency and an evidence requirement for each one.
This is reference material, not a data-entry tool — day-to-day activity data for a studio is already collected in the Climactix Green Production platform. For the full Standard Operating Procedure — objective, step-by-step procedure, responsible role, frequency and evidence to retain for every KPI group below — see the Studio Sustainability SOP document.
The Round 4 standard requires 38 mandatory data fields alongside the 66 scored KPIs above (35 directly reported, 3 calculated). Collection ownership and cadence for each field is defined in Section 6 of the Studio Sustainability SOP; live values live in the Climactix Green Production platform, not here.
These are Climactix Global certification levels, using the same tier structure as Climactix's production-level certification. They are issued following independent review of a studio's submitted evidence — not from self-reported answers alone — and do not imply BAFTA albert or any government accreditation.
Climactix measures it.
Climactix assesses the evidence.
Climactix certifies the outcome.
Climactix reviews the documentation behind a studio's KPI answers — not the answers alone.
The Round 4 methodology is explicit about this sequence: a self-assessed score, followed by independent review of the underlying evidence.
Adopt the Standard Operating Procedure, assign owners against every KPI, and talk to Climactix about independent review and certification.
